My husband always wanted to build and I was the skeptical one. With a new baby it just wasn’t the right time…but then again is there ever a “right” time? It wasn’t practical, it wasn’t “the plan”, but it has been the best decision we have made for our family thus far.
When my husband convinced me to build and we found a lot in the perfect neighborhood I knew immediately I wanted to work with Oakstone. I had browsed their website and seen their work and just knew that was what I wanted. Clean, simple, classic…all the things I love. I just had a feeling they were “it” for us, they were meant to build our home. After our first initial meeting my feelings were confirmed and before I knew it we were constantly communicating design, logistics, and plans.
I would be lying if I didn’t mention the bumps along the road, which are inevitable and always a part of life, but Brandon and Katelyn were by our side throughout the entire process and took so much of the pressure off our shoulders. When we said full speed ahead, they pushed. When we needed more time to sell our home, they waited. They were honest, quick to communicate, and truly had our best interests at heart. They genuinely cared, which made all the difference.
I cannot say enough about the attention to detail and following through throughout the entire process. From blueprints, to flooring, to cabinet layouts they were always an email or text away with an ear to listen or a solution. Now that our home is finished, they are still a part of our lives. Whether it is a question about how something works, a design idea, or maintenance, they are still with us although our product is technically “finished”.
We have truly had a wonderful and inspiring experience and would wholeheartedly say “yes” to the building experience with Oakstone time and time again.
